About Brooklyn Pizza Voted the Best in Detroit in InStyle Magazine! Formerly the Big Chill, Brooklyn Pizza opened under the same owners in July, 1996. With one of the largest outdoor seating spaces in Birmingham, Brooklyn Pizza is a great place to go for a leisurely meal or to simply drop in for a quick slice of pizza and a scoop of ice cream, gelato, or sorbetto. In the Summer of 2010, our new Troy Location opened. All of our products are made fresh daily, including every flavor of ice cream, sorbetto, and gelato. Our wood-fired oven pizzas are made from imported Italian ingredients. Our pepperoni and sausage are beef, not pork, and the ham is turkey-based. The chicken is all white meat, and the tuna is dolphin-free and packed in water.
